The first evening we walked a block from the marina to find some dinner and decided upon Sixteen Front Casual Fine Dining and Lounge, which we knew was a good choice from the savory aromas that helped to motivate our hunger.
My husband was considering the Maple-brined pork chop and beer-braised cabbage with lardons. After joking with the waitress about the strange sounding lardons, my husband and I each chose the 8 ounce filet mignon. Since the menu stated "Help us make this your most enjoyable dining experience. please ask your server if there is anything more we can do" my husband asked if he could have his filet bacon wrapped. It appears that he could but it was a $5. charge for the strip of bacon. Oh well, he didn't want it that bad, and the filets were so tender they didn't need any bacon. The garlic mashed and the baked potato were nice accompaniments.
One of our party had the chicken breast stuffed with fresh herbs and Goat cheese topped with a mushroom, maple-smoked bacon, pearl onion and white wine cream sauce. The other chose the 3 course steak special of the day with came with a cold gazpacho soup and dessert. We had no complaints at all, and returned again for lunch during our three day stay in Orilla.
